Derrick Brown Out for Season with Meniscus Injury

The Panthers have placed DT Derrick Brown on season-ending IR for the meniscus injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Saints. That leaves a gaping hole up front on a defense that was already bad.

What They're Saying

HC Dave Canales: "Definitely a huge loss, right? He's one of our best players. That's big shoes to fill."

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Expect the Panthers to need a mix of players to fill Brown's role -- and to still fall short of actually replacing him.

None of the replacements nor the team D will belong on your fantasy roster.

We might get some usable IDP weeks from DL A'Shawn Robinson (in tackle-friendly scoring) and Jadeveon Clowney. But this will be a defense to avoid -- unless you have offensive players going against it.
