Patriots HC Mike Vrabel revealed Monday that WR Ja'Lynn Polk had shoulder surgery this offseason. Vrabel didn't give any details on Polk's injury or timeline for return. He did say that he's excited about how Polk has attacked rehab and that he's been focused on building lower-body strength, per ESPN's Mike Reiss.
We'll see when Polk is able to get back on the field, but any missed time is bad news for a guy coming off a historically bad rookie season. Polk mustered just 12 catches for 87 yards across 15 games. His 0.35 yards per route was the lowest mark from any WR with 30+ targets since 2006.
Polk is not a target in early best-ball drafts. And dynasty owners should consider "selling low" on him this offseason.
