Browns RB Quinshon Judkins "will have his snaps closely monitored" in his NFL debut against the Ravens today, according to NFL Network. "Expect him to have the snaps of a backup RB as he ramps up, while the team hopes he eventually becomes the starter," Rapoport adds.
Judkins should not be in Week 2 fantasy lineups. We're frankly surprised he's playing at all in this one. His practices on Thursday and Friday were his first since the spring.
Rapoport's note that the Browns "hope" Judkins is eventually the starter is key, though. The rookie has a lot of catching up to do. But he went 36th overall in this spring's draft, giving him the inside track for that lead job. Judkins is a strong stash in redraft leagues -- and could be a trade target if his production underwhelms over the next few weeks.
