49ers Reveal Season-Ending Knee Injury for Nick Bosa

Niners HC Kyle Shanahan told reporters Monday that Edge Nick Bosa tore his right ACL in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Shanahan said after the game that a sideline ACL test gave them hope the ligament might be intact. But Bosa will now miss the rest of the season.

Bosa has at least been through this type of recovery before. He tore his left ACL two games into the 2020 season.

Bosa returned to play all 17 games and tally 15.5 sacks the following year. We'll watch his progress through this offseason.

Bosa will still be squarely in his prime at 28 when the 2026 season begins.
