Confirmed: Najee Harris Has Torn Achilles

Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh confirmed on Monday that RB Najee Harris tore his left Achilles in the Week 3 win over the Broncos. Harris is done for the season and faces a lengthy rehab. It's bad timing for the 27-year-old who's set to hit free agency this offseason.

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Harris' injury gives the Chargers little choice but to use RB Omarion Hampton in a feature role going forward. The rookie tallied just five opportunities to Harris' six before the latter's injury vs. Denver. But from that point on, Hampton racked up 14 carries and seven targets. RB Hassan Haskins played sparingly after the Harris injury and did not record a touch.

Haskins figures to play a bit going forward. And the Chargers will likely elevate RB Kimani Vidal from the practice squad. But this will be Hampton's backfield. Even if his efficiency doesn't improve, he'll likely score as a top-15 fantasy RB. And if he gets rolling, he could pretty easily be a top-10 producer.
