Bengals RB Chase Brown remained underwhelming in an ugly Week 5 loss to Detroit. The third-year RB tallied 27 rushing yards on 8 attempts and 21 yards on 7 receptions.
Call it an OK PPR outing for Brown, at least based on his 2025 standard.
The Bengals trailed by as many as 25 points in the third quarter, leading to Brown’s season-low in attempts. He simply couldn’t overcome a horrible offensive showing, one brought on by three Jake Browning INTs.
The RB salvaged his day with 7 catches – the second-highest total for his career.
Of course, Brown’s efficiency remained awful. He’s now posted 2.5 yards per carry for the season; 5.3 yards per catch. Per Pro Football Focus, Brown didn’t force a missed tackle as a rusher or a receiver.
He's also averaging just 2.14 yards after contact per attempt on the year -- a career low. And his long run through five games? Only 11 yards.

Brown did hold the clear edge in target share (21% to 5%).
