Jaylen Warren’s Two TDs Prop Up a Poor Day

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren went 16-31-2 against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. Warren also caught both of his targets for -2 yards. His measly 1.9 yards per carry didn’t help the Steelers offense much, but he was able to punch in two short scores near the goal line.

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Warren continued dominating the backfield touches for the Steelers. RB Kenneth Gainwell had 7 total touches compared to Warren’s 18. Warren did only play 56.4% of snaps compared to 37.1% for Gainwell. Gainwell ran more routes than Warren, 18 to 15.

Even if Warren gets touches while on the field, Gainwell isn’t going away. An inefficient Warren will need to find the end zone to pay off.

The good news for Warren is that the Steelers have the 6th easiest RB schedule going forward. But that doesn’t translate into the fantasy playoffs with a positive match-up against the Dolphins followed by two negative ones against the Lions and Browns.

The lack of rushing success led to increased passing with QB Aaron Rodgers completing 25 of 35 passes for 203 yards and a TD. More passing still didn’t help the Steelers’ WRs put up strong fantasy performances.

WR D.K. Metcalf also had his worst game of the season, going 2-6-0 on 4 targets. Last week’s breakout Roman Wilson only went 1-4-0.
