Brock Bowers Seems Better

Brock Bowers' knee seems like it's probably feeling better. The star TE racked up 12 catches for 127 yards, and 3 TDs in Sunday's narrow loss to the Jaguars. That came on a team-high 13 targets, six more than his nearest teammate. It was the first time Bowers had played since Week 4.

What They're Saying

HC Pete Carroll: "It couldn't be more obvious what a great player that he is. Great efficiency. His run-after-catch was excellent. His playmaking was excellent."

WR Jakobi Meyers, via Paul Gutierrez of Raiders.com: "Shout out to that boy Brock ... try to enjoy the show. That's a once-in-a-lifetime type player ... He just [does] all the little things right. He's a really good player, a really good dude. I've got a son now. Hopefully he turns out somewhat like that."

2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Bowers' 43.3 PPR points for Week 9 mark the biggest PPR score of the season so far, according to multiple sources. The only other player to crack 40 PPR points (depending on your format): Raiders WR Tre Tucker.

We obviously can't expect weekly scores anywhere near that level from Bowers. But it's an immediate reminder of the extreme upside. And the more important takeaway is the offensive role for a healthy Bowers.

Here were his Week 9 market shares among Raiders:

34.2% targets
41.4% receptions
44.7% receiving yards
75.0% receiving TDs

(I figured that last one out myself, without a calculator.)

Bowers obviously belongs in your weekly lineup the rest of the way, even with a schedule that lines up as the league's second-worst for TE scoring from Week 10 on.

Other Winners & Losers

TE Michael Mayer ranked second among Raiders with seven targets in the loss to the Jags. He actually played one more snap than Bowers and ran just four fewer pass routes.

Tucker and Meyers operated as the top two WRs, while No. 3 Tyler Lockett ran less than a third as many routes as either guy.

That leaves room for Mayer to potentially stay relevant in deep leagues. Though this Raiders offense doesn't look capable of supporting many scorers on a weekly basis.

Meyers posted just a 4-23 receiving line on six targets in Bowers' return. Tucker caught three of four targets for 38 yards.
