The Cowboys are sending a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-rounder to the Jets for DT Quinnen Williams. The 27-year-old (until late December) is under contract through 2027.
Williams remains one of the league's top interior defensive linemen, though his pass rush has lagged a bit this season.
He lands in a Cowboys defense that already sports much more talent inside than on the edge, with Osa Odighizuwa and Kenny Clark starting at the DT spots.
Odighizuwa checks in at just 6'2, 280 pounds and could spend a bit more time on the edge going forward. He has played 37.2% of his snaps at an edge spot so far, according to Pro Football Focus.
Williams' arrival should boost the Dallas run defense. We'll see about the impact on the pass rush.
