Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett completed an NFL-record 47 passes in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. Brissett attempted 57 throws in the lopsided defeat, logging 32 of those in the second half. His team didn't fall quite as hopelessly behind San Francisco as it did Seattle the week before. But the Niners did score the first 13 points of the game and lead 25-10 at the half. Brissett went 20-of-25 passing before the break. He finished with 452 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. Brissett sits third among fantasy QBs for the week ahead of Monday night's game.
What They're Saying
Niners HC Kyle Shanahan: "He looked like that all week, studying him, and looked like that in person. He made a few of those big throws down the field where we were hitting him as he let it go and he hung in there. Real tough player, and I got a lot of respect for him."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Brissett has now finished among the top 12 fantasy QBs in each of his five starts in place of Murray.
Huge passing volume obviously helped, but Brissett completed 82.5% of his passes at 7.9 yards per pass attempt. And he did this one without WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
Brissett gets another positive scoring matchup with Jacksonville in Week 12, and then a neutral spot at Tampa Bay in Week 13.
Murray will be eligible to return from IR for Week 14 if his foot's ready. We'll see about his status and what the Cardinals decide to do at that point.
