Thank Goodness for Ashton Jeanty's Receiving

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty assumed his usual role dominating the backfield Sunday against the Chargers, shaking off the ankle injury that knocked him out of the previous game (but didn't land him on the Week 13 injury report). Unfortunately for fantasy managers, he also continued his usual poor ground production, managing a mere 31 yards on 15 carries (2.1 per rush). Fortunately for PPR formats, Jeanty tallied a team-high 6 receptions for 30 yards on a team-leading eight targets.

This marked the third straight game if eight targets and 6+ catches for Jeanty. It also marked his third straight game of less than 3 yards per carry and seventh straight game of 3.5 or less.
He's basically a slot receiver who adds a little rushing value here and there.
The receiving role will make him tough to sit in PPR leagues the rest of the way, even with potentially difficult matchups over the next three weeks:
- Denver
- at Philadelphia
- at Houston
Jeanty will be a tougher call outside of full PPR, especially for those contests. A Week 17 home date with the Giants, at least, looks attractive across formats.
