Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden managed just 1 catch for 27 yards on two tagets in Sunday's win over the Raiders. He ranked just fifth on the team in targets and receptions, trailing the top four WRs.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Gadsden brought multiple issues out of this game. First, of course, is the Justin Herbert injury that will hurt the entire offense if it costs him further time.
Beyond that, there's a volume issue.
The Chargers attempted only 21 passes Sunday against the Raiders. That marked the fourth game among the past five in which the team passes fewer than 30 times. The team has averaged just 25.2 attempts over that span after throwing 38.7 times per game across the first seven weeks.
Gadsden also saw his route share tumble against the Raiders. The rookie's 68% share for the game marked his lowest for a healthy outing since Week 4. Gadsden had topped 84% route shares in each of the three previous outings he didn't leave early.
Combine all that with a Eagles matchup that's been second-toughest in the league for TE scoring -- according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed -- and it'll be tough to like Gadsden for Week 14 lineups.
The ensuing three weeks find two more negative matchups, meaning you should probably seek at least a platoon partner for Gadsden -- if not a full upgrade.
