Raiders TE Brock Bowers led the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. But that produced just a 6-28-0 receiving line on eight looks. QB Kenny Pickett threw for a mere 64 yards on 15-of-25 passing in place of the injured Geno Smith. RB Ashton Jeanty was the only other Raider to catch more than two passes.
Bowers at least beat his target and reception counts of the previous two weeks. But Pickett showed he's no threat to Smith's job when the starter is healthy.
Smith didn't practice at all leading up to Sunday's game, though, while dealing with right-shoulder and back injuries.
We'll see about Smith's status for a Week 16 visit to Houston, but no Raiders QB will stand much chance of producing against that Texans defnese.
If Smith remains out, Vegas may also opt to give Aidan O'Connell a shot. He was active Sunday as the Raiders' backup.
