Chiefs, Travis Kelce Agree to Three-Year Deal

The Chiefs and TE Travis Kelce have agreed on a new three-year deal worth up to $57.7 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. With incentives, the average annual salary is up to $18.2 million. However, the language of the deal includes a trigger date next June that gives Kansas City cap flexibility. Essentially, Kelce is set to make $12 million in 2026 with up to $3 million in additional incentives.

The deal allows Kelce and Kansas City to run it back for at least one more season. After that, it would be a year-to-year proposition. It all but assures that the future Hall-of-Famer will end his career as a Chief.

Kelce turns 37 in October and is coming off a TE3 finish, though his 76 catches were his fewest since 2015. The usage still held.

He ranked top-15 in route rate (89.9%) and yards after catch per reception (5.7). That’s enough to keep him in the TE1 mix.

We'll see if he can maintain his high-level play and volume with RB Kenneth Walker III signing a three-year deal and QB Patrick Mahomes recovering from a torn ACL.

According to our ADP Market Index, Kelce's ADP has risen over two full rounds since he agreed to return for a 14th season, but he remains a bargain that early best ball drafters should continue to target.
