Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews (quad) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He was limited in all three practices last week before missing the Texans game, so this doesn't tell us much about his Week 2 availability. We'll update Andrews' status again tomorrow.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely drew just 1 target in Sunday's win over the Texans, despite TE Mark Andrews being inactive. Likely caught that lone target for 4 yards. TE Charlie Kolar also drew 1 target, which fell incomplete. QB Lamar Jackson attempted just 22 passes. Only WR Zay Flowers (10 targets) drew more than 3 targets. Don't plan to use Likely in Week 2, even if Andrews remains out.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews (quad) is officially inactive for today’s game vs. the Texans. That leaves Isaiah Likely as Baltimore’s lead TE. In two games without Andrews and with QB Lamar Jackson last season, Likely registered a 20% target share and receiving lines of 7-77-1 and 1-24-1. He’s in a new offense this year with more target competition for Baltimore’s WRs. But Likely still looks like a lower-end TE1 option for Week 1. Andrews’ absence also moves Rashod Bateman, Zay Flowers, and Odell Beckham up the WR rankings.
On Saturday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that Ravens TE Mark Andrews "is not likely to play" in Week 1 vs. the Texans. The veteran has dealt with a quad issue for a while and logged limited practice all week leading up to the 2023 season opener. Fantasy managers looking for a replacement should jump on the waiver wire now. Backup TE Isaiah Likely is an appealing option of note, as he's now the TE10 in our Week 1 rankings. Check those out before making a final decision.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews roped in all 9 of his targets for 100 yards in Week 17's loss vs. the Steelers. The veteran hadn't recorded a game of 10+ PPR points since Week 12 vs. the Jaguars prior to Sunday. Fantasy managers who found their way to the championship round despite Andrews' lack of production were certainly happy to see this resurgence. Fellow TE Isaiah Likely is the only other Ravens' pass-catcher who recorded multiple receptions, hauling 3 of 5 targets for 13 yards and 1 TD. Week 17 is a reminder that despite a shoulder injury and QB Lamar Jackson missing time this season, Andrews remains a top-flight fantasy asset.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews managed just 4 catches for 53 yards on 7 targets in Sunday's win over the Broncos. He finished 2nd on the team in targets and led the group in yards in a game that saw QB Lamar Jackson leave early with a knee injury. WR Demarcus Robinson led in targets (8) and receptions (7), compiling 41 yards. WR Devin Duvernay caught all 6 of his looks for 34 yards. TE Isaiah Likely was the only other Raven to catch more than 2 balls (4-30 on 4 targets).
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (ankle) practiced all week and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll be back for Sunday’s game against the Broncos but isn’t a viable fantasy play.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (ankle) was a full-go in Thursday's practice, putting him in line to return for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos. Likely isn't a viable fantasy play, but his presence takes TE Josh Oliver out of consideration in even the deepest of fantasy leagues.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (ankle) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That gives him a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos, but we'll track the rookie's progress over the next few days.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars. He suffered an ankle injury in Friday's practice. Likely's absence probably just pushes an extra target or 2 Mark Andrews' way.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely was added to Friday’s injury report and limited in practice with an ankle. He’s listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jaguars. Likely, of course, isn’t much of a fantasy option with TE Mark Andrews healthy.
The Ravens expect TE Mark Andrews (knee, shoulder) to play today against the Panthers, NFL Network reports. An active Andrews belongs in nearly all fantasy football lineups. His return makes Isaiah Likely a bench guy.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews (knee, shoulder) did not travel to New Orleans and has been downgraded to out for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. Rookie Isaiah Likely steps in as Baltimore's lead TE -- and potential team target leader with WR Rashod Bateman also out.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews (knee, shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He didn't practice all week and should obviously be on fantasy benches. Baltimore has a Week 10 bye, so we'll see if Andrews can make it back for Week 11. His absence on Monday night leaves TE Isaiah Likely as the Ravens' lead TE -- and potentially the top target in the passing game with WR Rashod Bateman done for the season. Note, though, that New Orleans ranks 1st in both adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs and Football Outsiders' TE coverage rankings.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews (shoulder, knee) missed practice again on Friday. Baltimore still has 1 more practice ahead of Monday night's game vs. the Saints, but it's looking like Andrews will miss that one. His absence would make TE Isaiah Likely a viable Week 9 spot starter, despite the matchup against the league's top-ranked TE defense.
Ravens HC John Harbaugh announced Thursday that WR Rashod Bateman will have season-ending surgery for the Lisfranc injury to his left foot. That leaves Devin Duvernay and Demarcus Robinson as the team's top 2 wideouts. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that WR DeSean Jackson is also expected to be active for Monday night's game against the Saints. Rookie TE Isaiah Likely should see more opportunities as well, even after Mark Andrews is healthy. Losing Bateman certainly doesn't help QB Lamar Jackson, who's passing numbers have dipped since Bateman originally went down against Buffalo.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews is dealing with shoulder and ankle injuries, HC John Harbaugh said Monday. Neither is considered major. It sounds like Andrews at least has a chance to play against the Saints this weekend. But the Ravens have a Week 10 bye, so they could give Andrews extended time to heal up for the stretch run by holding him out this Sunday. We'll track his practice participation throughout the week. TE Isaiah Likely will be a viable fantasy spot starter if Andrews sits.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (groin) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. The rookie was limited in practice all week and remains more of a dynasty stash than redraft option.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (groin) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. The rookie has 4 catches on 9 targets through 2 games and shouldn't be in your Week 3 fantasy plans.
