Panthers WR Xavier Legette missed the last three weeks of spring workouts with a hamstring injury. “We’ve gotta get him back out there,” HC Dave Canales said, “so we can work him through that.”
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
There's no reason to believe that this hamstring injury will impact Legette's availability for the start of training camp next month, although hamstring injuries have a tendency to linger.
Still, the missed time is not ideal for a rookie who needs all the reps he can get. Legette is a big, athletic receiver coming off a monster 2023 season. But that was his only productive college campaign. And he's a raw prospect in terms of his ability to beat press coverage, route running, and understanding defensive coverages.
Although there's opportunity in the Panthers' WR corps behind likely No. 1 Diontae Johnson, we're not particularly excited about Legette's 2024 fantasy outlook. He sits 71st in our WR rankings -- a couple of spots below his current ADP.
