Giants QB Daniel Jones (knee) has been fully cleared for contact to start training camp, the team announced Wednesday. Jones is set to participate in all 11-on-11 work, which he didn't do in the spring. “He will play every snap the (first-team offense) is in,” HC Brian Daboll said, adding that the team will monitor Jones closely throughout camp.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Jones is clearly on track to play Week 1 after tearing his right ACL last November, and it's starting to feel like he'll be closer to 100% by that point than we initially thought. That's especially important for Jones, who derives much of his fantasy value from rushing production.
We're still not drafting Jones as more than a QB3 -- maybe a low-end QB2 behind a strong QB1 -- but he has the potential to return a nice profit. Jones finished QB15 in points per game as a rookie in 2019 and QB14 in 2022, his first season with Daboll.
The Giants upgraded the WR corps this offseason with the addition of first-round rookie WR Malik Nabers.
Projected ADP Movement
We'll see if this latest news bumps Jones' ADP. He's way down at QB28 in consensus ADP and QB26 in best ball ADP.
