Per reporter Zac Jackson, Browns TE David Njoku “is having another strong camp and might end up leading the team in targets." Last year, Njoku tallied 123 targets in 16 games -- five fewer than Amari Cooper (15 games).

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Before looking ahead, let’s review Njoku’s career-best 2023.

He set career highs across the board:

  • 123 targets
  • 81 catches
  • 882 yards
  • 6 TDs

From Week 7 on, he even led all TEs in PPR points. His target share after Week 6: a strong 24.9%.

Now, Amari Cooper missed two games over that period, while Joe Flacco was the primary QB. So can Njoku thrive with a healthy Deshaun Watson?

Well, the early returns have been promising. But even if Watson can’t get back to his early-career form, a league-average QB would be a positive for Njoku given his forecasted role.

We currently peg the 28-year-old for nearly 103 targets (15.6 games). See where he lands in our fantasy TE rankings.

Dynasty Impact

Njoku's arrow is still pointing up. He's currently the TE8 in dynasty circles and slots top-10 in both 3- and 5-year projection.

Note: He's under contract with the Browns through next season but carries a bloated cap hit of $22.1 million in 2025.
