Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (ankle) was back on the practice field and participating in individual drills on Thursday, just two days after being carted off the field with an air cast on his leg. "Looks fine," The Athletic's Dan Duggan tweeted.
What looked like a potentially season-ending injury for Tracy turned out to be extremely minor. The rookie probably won't play in New York's preseason game on Saturday, but he might be healthy enough to play by the third exhibition. And he's clearly on track to be available come Week 1.
Tracy had been running as the Giants' No. 2 RB in camp before the injury and remains a good bet to open the season in that role. We have not moved him in the RB rankings.
