Jelani Woods Needs Toe Surgery, Out Indefinitely

Colts TE Jelani Woods will have surgery this week to repair his turf toe and will be out "indefinitely," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

We'll look for a timeline for Woods' return, but it sounds like he'll miss a big chunk of this season. He was already buried on Indianapolis' depth chart and is well off the fantasy radar.

Dynasty Impact

This toe injury comes after Woods missed the entire 2023 season with hamstring trouble. He'll now likely head into 2025 -- his age-27 season -- having done very little over the previous two years.

Woods is very droppable in dynasty leagues without an IR spot.

Other Winners & Losers

Kylen Granson and Mo Alie-Cox look like the favorites to enter the season as Indianapolis' top two TEs, but Will Mallory and Andrew Ogletree might also be involved.

In what figures to be a run-leaning Colts offense, this entire TE room can be avoided in redraft leagues.
