Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase is expected to play in the season opener vs. the Patriots, HC Zac Taylor said Tuesday. Chase staged a hold-in for most of August looking for a new contract but returned to practice this past Sunday.
Taylor on having Chase back on the field: "I think it gives you the visual of what it's going to look and feel like for us. It's been good to get him back in the mix the last couple of days."
Chase never moved in our WR rankings throughout this ordeal. He has two weeks to ramp up before the opener, which should be plenty of time considering his familiarity with Taylor's offense and QB Joe Burrow.
