Chiefs WR Marquise Brown is expected to miss the entire regular season with his shoulder injury that requires surgery, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Sources tell Schefter that there's a chance Brown could return for the postseason, but mid-January is the earliest he could get back on the field. (Week 17 takes place the last week of December.)

At least Brown owners can now feel comfortable cutting him.

His absence locks WR Xavier Worthy into a significant role all season. The rookie already looks like a weekly WR3 with upside after registering a 76% route rate in the opener.

Justin Watson operated as Kansas City's No. 3 WR in Week 1 and might be worth an add in deep fantasy leagues. But he's never been a reliable source of fantasy production.
