George Pickens Comes Close to Huge Day

Steelers WR George Pickens took a step back in a Week 2 win over Denver. After a dynamic opener, the young WR managed only 2 catches for 29 yards on Sunday. However, Pickens came close to a huge fantasy day.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Facing top CB Patrick Surtain, Pickens imposed his will on a 51-yard deep ball along the sideline. But a holding call on LT Broderick Jones negated the play.

On the day, Pickens drew another PI from Surtain – and had a TD called back by a teammate’s pass interference.

Pickens saw only 4 total targets – 20% of Justin Fields’ total. But a larger role figures to surface most weeks, especially with Pittsburgh's WR depth remaining weak.

Keep Pickens active for a fine Week 3 matchup vs. the Chargers.
