Dak Prescott Racks Up Numbers In Catch-Up Mode

Dak Prescott Headshot

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was not at his sharpest in the Week 3 loss to the Ravens. He completed just 55% of his passes at 7.4 yards per attempt. But Prescott wound up with a strong fantasy outing thanks to 51 pass attempts -- the fifth most of his career. Dak hit halftime with 140 scoreless passing yards. But the Cowboys fell behind 28-6 early in the third quarter, and Prescott 239 yards and two TDs on 31 attempts in the second half. He also punched in a third score from one yard out on a QB sneak.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Prescott got rolling late, but this was a generally underwhelming performance, despite the big box-score production. He particularly struggled getting on the same page with CeeDee Lamb, completing just four of seven passes to his top WR. Brandin Cooks had trouble separating from a strong Ravens secondary, catching just two of his six targets.

The good news for Prescott looking forward is that this Cowboys defense looks awful. That should land Prescott in plenty of shootouts -- and have him playing from behind plenty.

Next up is a plus matchup against the Giants on Thursday night, followed by a much tougher draw against the Steelers. Then it's a showdown with the Lions that should produce lots of points on both sides.

Continue to treat Prescott as a mid-range QB1.
