Christian Watson Believed To Have High-Ankle Sprain

The Packers believe WR Christian Watson suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 4 loss to the Vikings, according to insider Jordan Schultz. Watson is scheduled for a Monday MRI to confirm that diagnosis. A high-ankle sprain would very likely cost Watson multiple games.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

WR Dontayvion Wicks would be the biggest winner of Watson's absence. He'd been the No. 4 WR in terms of playing time through three weeks but became a full-time player after Watson exited the Vikings game. Wicks wound up leading the Packers with 13 targets, catching five of them for 78 yards and two TDs.

We tabbed Wicks a Sleeper this summer because of his strong per-route efficiency marks as a rookie last year. If his routes spike, he has a chance to deliver strong fantasy value. He's a priority waiver-wire add in leagues he's available.

WR Jayden Reed, WR Romeo Doubs, and TE Tucker Kraft could also see target boosts with Watson out.
