Christian Watson Expected To Miss Multiple Weeks

Packers WR Christian Watson is expected to miss "multiple weeks" with his high-ankle sprain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He avoided a fracture in the ankle but might still wind up on IR, Rapoport adds. This is a pretty standard timetable for high-ankle sprains. Plan on Watson missing at least Green Bay's next four games.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

We'll look for a more concrete timetable for Watson's return and see if he lands on IR. The Packers have a Week 10 bye, so it's possible that Watson misses the next five games and returns in Week 11. Watson owners would ideally keep him stashed, but he might need to be dropped in shallower fantasy leagues as we hit the bye weeks.

Watson's absence will leave WRs Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Dontayvion Wicks as close to every-down players. We'll have more on Wicks in Tuesday's waiver-wire article.
