The Falcons scored 36 points and produced 550 yards of total offense in Thursday night's win over the Bucs. Surely Bijan Robinson had a big game. Right? Nope. He finished with 77 scoreless yards. Atlanta went pass-heavy in this one, throwing 59 passes vs. 18 runs. Robinson handled 12 of those runs and produced 61 yards (5.1 yards per carry). The highlight was a 28-yarder at the end of the third quarter that included impressive burst and balance. Robinson, though, was not very involved in the passing game. His three targets tied for fifth on the team and were just 5.1% of the Falcons' total. Robinson caught all three for 16 yards.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
After topping 100 total yards in the first two games of the season, Robinson has now fallen short of 80 in three straight. And he's stuck on just one TD for the season.
There was some good news to come out of this one. After a season-low 61% snap rate and a season-low 47% carry share in Week 4, Robinson rebounded to a 67% snap rate and 67% carry share vs. the Bucs. Still, RB Tyler Allgeier was mixing in throughout, including starting the second drive of the game and the first drive of the second half.
It's clear at this point that Robinson will not get the type of volume this season to make him a true league-winner. That said, he's still a talented lead back in what looks like an ascending offense. That's enough to keep him inside weekly RB1 territory.
