Colts RB Trey Sermon led the backfield in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, with Jonathan Taylor out. But that meant just 10 carries on a pass-heavy day. Sermon ran for 38 yards and added 25 more yards on 6 receptions. He beat RB Tyler Goodson 6-3 on targets (and catches) despite running three fewer routes. Goodson finished with 5-26 rushing and 3-31 receiving.

Indianapolis trailed for the entire second half -- and by 10 points for a lot of it. That didn't help the rushing game script. But even in the first half, the Colts passed at a roughly 2-1 rate.

It's clear that the team felt comfier leaning pass with Joe Flacco at QB and no Taylor in the backfield.

We'll see about the availability of both Taylor and QB Anthony Richardson for a Week 6 visit to Tennessee.

Taylor's high ankle sprain has been called "minor."
