Broncos RB Javonte Williams went his fifth straight game without a TD in Week 5. But he delivered in the yardage department, racking up 61 yards on the ground; 50 yards through the air.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
As expected, Denver rolled out a two-man backfield of Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin. Williams led the way in snaps (38 to 23), routes (16 to 11), targets (6 to 3) and carries (13 to 6).
However, it was McLaughlin who scored on a 4-yard catch. Bo Nix also scored on a QB sneak.
So, despite 7 season-long red zone carries – and five inside the 10 yard-line – Williams remains without a TD.
On the positive side, Williams has tallied his two most productive (and efficient) rushing days over the past two weeks.
He’ll remain in the RB2/FLEX mix in Week 6 against a Chargers squad coming off a bye.
