Jets LB C.J. Mosley is questionable for Monday night's game against the Bills after putting in limited practices all week. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo says "all indications are" that Mosley "should be a go."
What They're Saying
Interim HC Jeff Ulbrich on Mosley and No. 3 LB Jamien Sherwood: "C.J. is such an established leader on this team and he's played at such a high level for so long. There will absolutely be a role for him if he's dressed. At the same time, there are a lot of sets where we have three linebackers on the field. So there'll be opportunities for both those guys to be on the field."
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
That Mosley is questionable for the final game of the week obviously adds risk to setting him in your starting lineup.
Ulbrich -- who got elevated from DC after Robert Saleh's firing -- saying there will "be a role" also isn't the same as saying Mosley will return to his usual role if active.
Week 1 has been the only time the Jets' top three LBs stayed healthy through a game this season. That one found:
- Quincy Williams playing 100% of snaps
- Mosley 88%
- Sherwood 44%
That seems like a decent ceiling expectation for Mosley in Week 6, with plenty of downside risk from there -- even if he's active.
Rankings Movement
Mosley sits in LB4 territory in our updated Week 6 rankings. Sherwood would likely jump into LB3 range if Mosley sits.
