Mark Andrews Finds The End Zone

Mark Andrews Headshot

Ravens TE Mark Andrews was on the receiving end of QB Lamar Jackson's only passing TD in the Week 6 win over the Commanders. Jackson threw a high ball away from the defender, and Andrews made a leaping, contorting grab in the end zone for the 13-yard score. He also had 15- and 38-yard receptions in this one, finishing with a 3-66-1 receiving line on four targets. The missed connection went off Andrews' hands and was intercepted by Washington CB Mike Sainristil.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

This was Andrews' most productive outing of the season and will make him a top-10 TE on the week.

But we're still not ready to move him back to weekly TE1 status. Andrews' four targets vs. Washington tied for second on the team but were a just-ok 15.4% share. And he ran a pass route on only 60% of Baltimore's pass plays. That was Andrews' highest route rate since Week 2 -- but still well below where most fantasy TE1s sit.

If you have a weekly TE1 rostered alongside Andrews, you should explore selling high on Andrews this week. If not, it's fine to hang on to him as a spot starter. But it still looks like he'll need neutral or negative game script -- and elevated passing volume from his team -- to deliver viable fantasy numbers.
