Playing without Davante Adams or Jakobi Meyers, Raiders TE Brock Bowers tallied 9 catches for 71 yards in a blowout loss to Pittsburgh. His 10 targets – a 25% share – easily led all Raiders pass catchers.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
In case that wasn’t enough: Bowers had a one-handed downfield grab called back by a penalty. He was also targeted downfield on Aidan O’Connell’s lone INT.
O'Connell wasn’t awful against a tough Pittsburgh defense, but he clearly wasn’t an upgrade on Gardner Minshew. Still, as long as Bowers' volume remains steady, the poor quality of QB play will carry less significance. Bowers is up to nearly 8 targets per game.
We'll see about the Week 7 status of Davante Adams (hamstring) and Jakobi Meyers (ankle). Regardless, Bowers will remain a must-start TE for the foreseeable future.
Dynasty Impact
Bowers remains atop our TE dynasty rankings. At only 22 years old (in December), he's positioned to remain in the top spot over the long term.
