Jayden Daniels Doesn't Look Like Good Bet for Week 8

Commanders HC Dan Quinn on Monday called QB Jayden Daniels "week to week" with the rib injury that knocked him out of Sunday's win over the Panthers. He added that they're "hopeful" he can play in Week 8 against the Bears.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

"Week to week" generally produces at least one missed game. We'll obviously keep watching Daniels' situation closely throughout the week, but we're opening with QB Marcus Mariota as the projected starter.

Even though Mariota delivered the fifth-best fantasy score of Week 7 among QBs, we'd try not to use him against a Chicago defense that's much better than Carolina's.

Missing Daniels is also likely a negative for WR Terry McLaurin.
