Mike Gesicki Underwhelms On Strong Usage

Bengals TE Mike Gesicki managed just four catches for 30 scoreless yards in Thursday night's loss to the Ravens. A disappointing result, but the usage was everything fantasy owners were hoping for. Gesicki drew nine targets -- third most on the team and a solid 16.1% share. Two of those targets came inside the red zone, including one that Gesick brought down at Baltimore's two-yard line.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

The story remains the same for Gesicki: He's a strong fantasy play whenever WR Tee Higgins is out. Gesicki is now averaging 7.2 targets across five games without Higgins this season. Only four TEs are averaging more than 7.2 targets per game.

We'll see if Higgins makes it back for Week 11, but the Bengals might just opt to hold him out through their Week 12 bye. If that's the case, Gesicki will again be a top-10 fantasy option against a Chargers defense that currently ranks 15th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs.
