Grant Calcaterra Busy, Useful with Dallas Goedert Out

A 3-16-1 receiving line shouldn't impress anyone. But the more important number for Calcaterra on Sunday was 25.

That's how many routes he ran, according to Pro Football Focus. That put him just one short of A.J. Brown, two short of DeVonta Smith, and in route for 92.5% of Jalen Hurts' 27 dropbacks.

Calcaterra also saw strong playing time when Dallas Goedert was previously injured this season. He tallied three games of 3+ receptions among the four weeks that included Goedert leaving early and then the three he missed.

Calcaterra's not a TE1-level candidate, especially in the league's lowest-volume pass offense. But he can be useful in deeper leagues and for TE-needy rosters.

Philly's remaining schedule looks tougher for TE scoring because of Dallas registering as a negative TE matchup in Week 17. But Philly figures to hit that week with one of the league's highest projected team totals.

C.J. Uzomah followed Calcaterra as the TE2 against Carolina, logging just 14 snaps played. E.J. Jenkins got on the field for 2 snaps as well.

Calcaterra also easily led in routes over WRs Jahan Dotson (17) and Johnny Wilson (9).
