Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught just two passes in Sunday's loss to the Commanders. But he did so on a team-high 7 targets. MVS hit halftime with 0 catches on 3 targets but then logged 2 receptions among 4 targets for 64 yards in the second half, after New Orleans switched from QB Jake Haener to Spencer Rattler.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Valdes-Scantling left briefly in the fourth quarter but returned after spending a drive on the sideline.

This marks his second straight game leading the team with 7 targets. Each time, that marked a 22.6% share of New Orleans' 31 pass attempts.

That marks role improvement vs. MVS' three straight games with TDs. He totaled 10 targets over that span, with no more than 4 in any of the games.

Valdes-Scantling's still not likely to rank higher than low-WR4 territory in our rankings for matchups with the Packers and Raiders the next two weeks.
