Bengals RB Chase Brown sprained his ankle late in the fourth quarter for the Bengals game against the Broncos. Brown was attempting to slide short of the goal line and landed awkwardly when two Broncos made contact.
What They're Saying
Adam Schefter of ESPN: "Bengals HC Zac Taylor said RB Chase Brown suffered a sprained ankle."
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Brown broke the heart of many fantasy managers by sliding down at the one yard line, only to have the Bengals score a TD on the next play.
His decision may have cost him next week's game against the Steelers as HC Zac Taylor indicated it is a sprained ankle for Brown.
After handling nearly all of the backfield touches since Zack Moss went on IR, Brown has been a central cog in the Bengals offense.
RB Khalil Herbert took over RB duties after Brown's injury.
Dynasty Impact
Brown will likely remain the starter for the Bengals next season, though it is doubtful he retains 90+% of the backfield touches.
They may even add another player to help lighten the load.
Even so, Brown has shown starting RB talent and dynasty managers who have Brown should be thrilled that they have at least an RB2 going into next season.
