The Browns announced Monday that they're placing LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah on the Reserve/PUP list. When that happens ahead of training camp, it means the player will miss the entire season. JOK sustained a neck injury in the Week 8 win over the Ravens last season and missed the rest of the year.
GM Andrew Berry, in an official statement: "We will not make any predictions on Jeremiah's football future at this time, but we do note that he's in good spirits and will continue to take the advice of the world-class medical experts who will continue to guide his progress and recovery."
Owusu-Koramoah, in a statement: "I don't know what's next, but I'll continue trusting my medical team."
The early move here clears the way for second-round rookie LB Carson Schwesinger to claim JOK's spot and earn as much playing time as he's ready to take. We were already betting he'd lead the group on that front.
There's loads of IDP upside right away for Schwesinger, who scored across categories in his lone starting season at UCLA. He'll be a strong pick anywhere in LB2 territory of IDP drafts.
Jordan Hicks gainst value with JOK being ruled out as well. It's not yet clear exactly how roles will split, but Hicks and Schwesinger should each prove versatile enough to be the two main guys at the position.
Hicks has remained productive when healthy but dealt with multiple injuries over the past two years.
He'll be a late-draft or waiver consideration.
That no one's ready to say anything publicly about Owusu-Koramoah's prospects beyond 2025 obviously isn't a good thing.
Perhaps he'll be ready for 2026. He'll still be shy of his 27th birthday when that season kicks off.
Or maybe he won't play again.
That uncertainty means a wide range of what you "should" do with him in dynasty.
If you have a spot to stash JOK that's not removing any meaningful value from your roster, then feel free to stay patient for now.
If you need -- or even can improve on -- that spot, however, feel free to dump the LB this offseason.
Ashton Jeanty projects as the RB1 in 2025. But is he an elite dynasty prospect? Let's dig into his film and profile to find out.
