Best Week 4 Moves from Our Fantasy Football Pros
Best Week 4 Moves
Whether it be in redraft, dynasty, or even DFS, knowing what moves to make is crucial to success.
That's why we're having each of our fantasy football pros give you one move to take advantage of this week.
Check back every week for new moves!
Stash Erick All in Dynasty
All has tallied eight catches for 54 yards over the last two weeks. That’s not winning any fantasy games, of course. But the fact that this fourth-round rookie coming off an October ACL tear has already carved out a role in the Bengals offense is bullish.
Also bullish is that two straight broadcast teams – CBS in Week 2 and ESPN in Week 3 – have mentioned that Cincinnati’s coaching staff loves this kid.
And there’s plenty to love.
All sunk to the fourth round of this spring’s draft because of medicals: the aforementioned torn ACL plus spinal surgery in 2022.
But he flashed at two different colleges. He ranked second on the 2021 Michigan Wolverines with 38 catches and 437 yards. Then he accounted for a whopping 37% of Iowa’s receiving yards in his seven games last year. All’s 2.62 yards per route ranked third among 81 TEs with 30+ targets.
With WR Tee Higgins and TE Mike Gesicki set to hit free agency this offseason, All could find a ton of opportunity in this Joe Burrow-led passing game as soon as 2025.
Bench Garrett Wilson
It has been a disappointing season for Wilson so far, but he finally paid dividends for fantasy owners in Week 3 by scoring a TD along with five catches for 33 yards.
Jets QB Aaron Rodgers mentioned that teams are scheming to take away Wilson by playing more Cover-2. But Wilson may face a bigger problem in Week 4 against the Broncos: Patrick Surtain Jr.
Surtain has been shadowing opposing team's top WRs at around 70% of the snaps every game. Here are the stat lines of those WRs for each game:
- Week 1 -- D.K. Metcalf: 3 catches, 29 yards
- Week 2 -- George Pickens: 2 catches, 29 yards
- Week 3 -- Mike Evans: 2 catches, 17 yards
These certainly aren't scrub WRs, and Surtain is shutting them down.
Wilson may be the most talented WR Surtain has gone up against so far, but even a modest increase on those stats would make him a sit if you can help it.
Pick Up Tyler Conklin
As of Thursday morning, the Jets TE remained available in 67% of ESPN redraft leagues, 74% of Yahoo leagues, and 75% of Sleeper leagues. I know more of you are having TE trouble than that.
I get that he looks like a one-week blip after totaling just 2 receptions on 4 targets through the first two games. But the breakthrough was coming.
Conklin’s connection with QB Aaron Rodgers generated buzz in training camp, and he ranks fifth among all TEs in route participation so far. His first worthwhile game just happened to come the same week that the Jets first cracked 270 total yards or 200 yards passing.
Yes, he shares a roster with more talented pass-catchers and won’t deliver every week. Sounds a lot like Dallas Goedert, who’s rostered in more than 90% of leagues everywhere.
Conklin finished each of the past two years among the top three Jets in targets and each of the past three years among the top 11 TEs in receptions. He can be your weekly PPR starter if you’re in need.
Don't Give Up on Ka'imi Fairbairn
Fairbairn got us all last week with a goose egg. That happens. It sucks, but we have to let it go.
Fairbairn is a top 2 kicker again for me this week, and I am firing him up everywhere I have him. I am even checking the waiver wire to see if he got dropped.
He is kicking in a dome. Which we love.
Houston is a 7-point favorite with a very strong implied total of 26.25. That is the second-highest of the week. Team points equals kicker points (usually).
Don’t let a down week for the Houston offense against a solid Minnesota defense stop you from having confidence in Fairbairn.
Bonus suggestion: Elijah Higgins is only $3100 on Draft Kings. Just saying. If McBride is out, I will have some ARI and WAS stacked DFS lineups that are punting the TE position with Higgins.
Stash Kendre Miller
The beat reporters from New Orleans.Football expect Miller to return when eligible in Week 5. (He’s on IR for a hamstring injury.)
Not only that, but it sounds like he’ll have a good shot to slide in as the RB2 and eventually be a breather back for Alvin Kamara.
Remember, Miller emerged from college with a strong production profile. From 2021-2022, he compiled 2,022 rushing yards (at 6.6 YPC) and 24 TDs.
He didn’t test at the NFL Combine but measured in at a sturdy 5’11, 215 pounds.
Injuries have been the issue to date. But the hope is that his IR stint can get him back healthy.
Given the Saints’ early returns on offense, the dynamic Miller could be a sneaky stash ahead of his return. Think leagues of 12+ teams with deeper benches.
