Week 16 FanDuel Tournament Picks

NFL DFS Picks for Tournament and GPP Play

Quarterback

Justin Fields, Bears ($8,300) vs. Cardinals

Ownership projection: 16%

We’re missing Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, and other impactful passers on this slate. So while Fields’ projected ownership leads all QBs, he also paces the position in ceiling projection.

The Cardinals rank bottom-5 league-wide in completion rate and yards per attempt allowed. Head to the QB rankings, and you’ll find the Cards down at 25th in fantasy points allowed.

D.J. Moore – projected for only 11% ownership – is the obvious name to stack.

Also consider: Baker Mayfield

Running Backs

Bijan Robinson, Falcons ($7,100) vs. Colts

Ownership projection: 15%

Teams have chosen to attack Indy on the ground this season. In fact, only the Jets have faced a lower pass rate over expected against.

Good to know…but will Robinson benefit from the volume? After all, he saw just 8 touches last week in an outing that included a fumble.

Frankly, it's hard to confidently project any member of Atlanta's offense. But Robinson handled 15+ touches in four straight prior to the Week 15 dud. And his combo of talent and matchup makes him worth chasing in tournament formats.

Aaron Jones, Packers ($6,700) at Panthers

Ownership projection: 17%

Jones returned from a knee injury last week and promptly handled 17 touches.

A.J. Dillon appears on track to return vs. the Panthers, but his role is unclear as he tries to play through a broken thumb.

One thing is clear: Carolina has proven exploitable on the ground, slotting 31st in rush defense DVOA.

Also consider: Jonathan Taylor, Rachaad White, De'Von Achane, Zach Charbonnet (if Kenneth Walker sits)

Wide Receivers

D.J. Moore, Bears ($8,200) vs. Cardinals

Ownership projection: 11%

Arizona’s secondary has struggled to find a productive combination all season. Only one member of their secondary sits top-100 in Pro Football Focus’ coverage grades. As a unit, the Cardinals rank 28th in team coverage grade.

Moore looks poised to take advantage. He’s hit 8+ targets in five straight, with three outings of 17+ over that span. Moore also ranks fifth at the position in ceiling projection.

D.K. Metcalf, Seahawks ($7,600) at Titans

Ownership projection: 10%

Metcalf checks out both from a price and ownership perspective. Per Pro Football Focus, his primary matchup looks favorable, too.

That’s CB Tre Avery, who's graded as one of PFF's worst CBs (49.9 coverage grade).

Metcalf already enters in fine form. He’s tallied 78 yards in four of his past six, a stretch that includes 5 TDs.

Jameson Williams, Lions ($5,200) at Vikings

Ownership projection: 5%

This one brings plenty of downside, so I'd reserve Williams for a small portion of your tournament portfolio. Still, he deserves a mention after a noticeable role bump last week vs. Denver. His snap share reached a season-high in that one, while he also tallied a season-high in targets (7, a 20.5% share).

Now, this doesn’t lock Williams into a similar role going forward. But for an indoors matchup with the blitz-heavy Vikings, there’s enough here to deploy some Williams in tournaments.

Also consider: CeeDee Lamb, Garrett Wilson, Chris Godwin, Brandin Cooks, Michael Wilson

Tight End

Trey McBride, Cardinals ($7,000) at Bears

Ownership projection: 11%

McBride fits nicely as part of a game stack alongside Justin Fields and DJ Moore.

Consider the state of affairs on Arizona’s side, with Marquise Brown out and Greg Dortch (hamstring) questionable. Brown alone removes nearly 7.5 targets per game.

McBride’s already posted 9+ targets in three straight, a realistic number for Sunday’s matchup.

Also consider: Tucker Kraft

Defense

Bears ($4,400) vs. Cardinals

Ownership projection: 3%

Also consider: Commanders
