Chiefs WR Marquise Brown sustained an ankle injury in Tuesday's practice, HC Andy Reid said. No word yet on the severity or a timeline for Brown's return.

Update: Brown "avoided anything serious and is expected to be back on the field as early as tomorrow," according to insider Jordan Schultz.

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

The Chiefs are counting on Brown to play a significant role this season, particularly while WR Rashee Rice is suspended.

If Kansas City is without both of those wideouts to open the year, they'd be forced to rely more heavily on WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jalen Royals, and perhaps Tyquan Thornton. WR Xavier Worthy and TE Travis Kelce would pick up extra volume in that scenario.

We'll update Brown's status when we know more.
