        Jaydon Blue Hurts Right Ankle

Cowboys RB Jaydon Blue injured his right ankle in Friday night's preseason game. He and HC Brian Schottenheimer didn't sound too concerned about the injury afterward. Blue carried nine times for 25 yards and a score before exiting.

        What They're Saying

Blue: “I don’t think it’s nothing serious. I’ve had ankles rolled plenty of times. I feel good right now.”

HC Brian Schottenheimer: “I don’t think it’s anything crazy. I don’t think it’s anything too bad.”

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

It sounds like Blue dodged a significant injury, but we'll have to see how long he's sidelined. He already missed 11 days in mid-August with a bone bruise to his ankle.

It's tough to imagine the rookie having a big role out of the gate after a pair of August ankle injuries. But no one has stepped up in Dallas' backfield, so there's plenty of opportunity for Blue to earn a sizable role over the course of the season. He remains a nice stash on fantasy benches.
