Texans Elevate WR Jared Wayne To Active Roster

Per KPRC's Aaron Wilson, the Houston Texans have elevated WR Jared Wayne from the practice squad for the team's Week 1 opener in Los Angeles.

Injuries to Christian Kirk and Braxton Berrios left the Texans thin at wideout. Wayne, an undrafted free agent out of PITT, was active in three games for Houston last season, but was limited to special teams duties.

Wayne is depth for the Texans. With Christian Kirk potentially sidelined for multiple weeks with a hamstring injury, Jaylin Noel could man the slot. Noel is listed as Kirk's direct backup on the team's depth chart.
