Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco matched Kareem Hunt with 10 carries in Sunday’s win over the Giants. He topped Hunt in yards per carry -- 4.5 to 3.4 -- but it was Hunt who scored the Chiefs’ only rushing TD.
Hunt popped in a one-yard score in the fourth quarter. That play was set up by a deep ball to Tyquan Thornton.
Meanwhile, Pacheco didn’t see any carries inside the Giants’ 15-yard line. Playing without Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, this offense remained underwhelming with 4.6 yards per play.
Pacheco’s underlying usage was fine, as he led the backfield with a 59% snap share and a 57% route rate. But even without the top two WRs active, Pacheco mustered only a 3% target share. Hunt -- and Brashard Smith -- matched that number.
Pacheco will remain a shaky FLEX option heading into a Week 4 date vs. Baltimore.
