RB Emari Demercado led the Cardinals in rushing yards for the second straight week in Sunday's loss to Seattle. But nearly all of his ground production came on a single 55-yard run early in the fourth quarter of the blowout defeat. Demercado logged just four total carries, trailing Bam Knight's team lead (10) and leading Michael Carter by just one. WR Greg Dortch scored the team's only rushing TD, from 4 yards out in the second quarter.

Knight complicated the outlook for Week 11 by leaving with a third-quarter ankle injury. The team deemed him questionable to return but had no reason to put him back in. Seattle led 38-15 when Knight left and added a FG before the Cardinals got the ball again.
Demercado got the first carry after Knight left. Carter got his first carry on the same drive.
The possession after that found the Cardinals pulling starters. Carter got two more carries with QB Kedon Slovis in the game. Demercado didn't touch the ball again.
That -- plus the usage earlier in the game and last week -- points to Demercado running ahead of Carter on the depth chart. But Carter would likely get some work as well if Knight's out for Week 11.
Trey Benson's officially eligible to return from IR this week as well, but we have yet to hear from the team that he's ready to play.
Before Knight left, he led Demercado 10-3 in carries. He also trailed Demercado 3-1 in first-half targets.
If he's ready for Week 11 and Benson's not, then expect Knight to continue leading one of the league's ugliest RB committees against a 49ers defense that ranks 24th in total DVOA and 22nd against the run.
