Spears has now out-scored Pollard in three straight games and four of the last five. His role in the passing game is the main catalyst for that edge. Spears has caught 3-plus balls in all five of those games.
The Titans are underdogs in all of their remaining games. That's a more favorable script for Spears, who has taken 65% of Tennessee's long down and distance snaps since debuting in Week 5.
Don't count on either of the Titans' backs being reliable weekly fantasy options. The Titans' remaining schedule is the second-toughest for RBs. The Titans' next three games (vs. Seattle, vs. Jacksonville, at Cleveland) are all unfavorable matchups for the running game.
Spears has been more productive and should continue to see more targets. That gives him he slight edge over Pollard for the rest of the season, but with both backs playing close to a 50/50 split, the their upside is limited.
