One week after an abysmal 0.6-point performance, D.J. Moore took advantage of the unexpected absence of Rome Odunze to 4-of-5 targets for 69 yards and 2 TDs in Chicago's 31-3 win over the Browns. Moore's performance came after consecutive duds, during which he caught 3 balls for 13 total yards in Weeks 13-14. Those two games followed a Week 12 5/64/2 showing, highlighting Moore's erratic week-to-week consistency that have made him one of the most frustrating players of the seaosn.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Moore's second 20-plus-point game in four weeks likely appeared on many fantasy benches.
Rome Odunze was cleared to play in this game and presumably would have re-inherited his No. 1 WR role. However, Odunze re-injured his foot in pre-game drills and was ruled out just before the kickoff.
The late timing of Odunze's injury left little time for fantasy managers to react.
With Odunze out, Ben Johnson used a similar rotation that we saw last week. Moore's role was mostly unchanged, while Olamide Zaccheaus saw a boost in snaps, and Luther Burden's target share continued to surge.
The Bears also used more 12 personnel. Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet both played 40-plus snaps and commanded 3-plus targets.

Moore's first TD was a 3-yard crosser where Moore simply outran the DB to the corner of the end zone.
His second score really juxtaposed Caleb Williams, who threw across his body and threw an absolutely perfectly placed dart from 22 yards out to put the Bears up 21-3.
Luther Burden's 22.5% target share was his highest of the season, and despite the discrepancy in playing time, he is well ahead of Zaccheaus in the target pecking order.
Odunze is dealing with a stress fracture. Re-injuring it in warm-ups is a bad omen for his potential availability next week.
Assuming Odunze is out, Burden is a must-add where he is still available on the waiver wire.
It also puts Moore in line to be Chicago's No. 1 WR. That puts Moore in the weekly WR2/3 conversation, but it won't necessarily solve his volatile week-to-week production.
Both Moore and Burden are in play next week, but have a tough matchup against a solid Green Bay defense.
