Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield put in a full practice Wednesday. That makes it look like he'll be ready to return for Sunday's game against the Bears. Winfield missed the past 2 contests with a concussion. His return pushes Mike Edwards back into a reserve role.
The Buccaneers have ruled LB Lavonte David (ankle) and S Antoine Winfield (concussion) out for Thursday night's game against the Eagles. That will allow S Mike Edwards to start in Winfield's place for the 2nd straight week and give LB Kevin Minter starting duty. EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) is questionable, though Wednesday's estimated injury report called him a "full" participant. JPP played through a questionable tag in Week 5 and got near his normal snap share in his return from a shoulder injury.

With CBs Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting already on IR, that means the Tampa Bay secondary will look quite different from its season-opening version. The Bucs will at least get CB Jamel Dean back from a knee injury that knocked him out early in Week 3 and kept him out last Sunday night. HC Bruce Arians also said EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul is ready to return from the shoulder injury that cost him the past 2 games, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.
