Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
The Cowboys and HC Mike McCarthy are "parting ways," a team spokesman said. The two sides reportedly talked about a new deal but couldn't come to an agreement. So McCarthy becomes a coaching free agent after five seasons in Dallas. He went 49-35 with the Cowboys, making the playoffs in three of five years. McCarthy is expected to draw interest from multiple teams, including the Saints and Bears, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Cowboys, meanwhile, join the list of teams that will have a new coaching staff in 2025. They have QB Dak Prescott and WR CeeDee Lamb signed through 2028
The Cowboys announced Thursday that WR CeeDee Lamb will miss the final two games of the season with his shoulder injury.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb caught six of seven targets for 100 yards in the first half before suffering a shoulder injury that knocked him for most of the game. He did return at points and had a catch on the Cowboys final drive taking his total for the day to 105 yards.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) is not listed on the final injury report and will play vs. the Bengals on Monday night. He got in just two limited practices this week and carries some re-injury risk. But Lamb still checks in as a top-12 WR in the Week 14 Rankings.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) returned to a limited practice on Friday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Bengals on Monday night, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report on Saturday afternoon.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) did not practice on Thursday. HC Mike McCarthy said before the workout that Lamb's shoulder is still bothering him. He has an extra day to get ready for the Monday nighter vs. the Bengals. We'll see if Lamb gets on the field tomorrow.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday morning that he expects WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) to be ready for the Week 14 Monday nighter against the Bengals. Take Jones' medical report with a hefty grain of salt, but it's better than the alternative. We'll keep you posted on Lamb's status when the Cowboys get back to work next week.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was sidelined for much of the second half of Thursday's win over the Giants. He wound up with a season-low 67% snap rate. HC Mike McCarthy said afterward that Lamb has a shoulder injury but gave no other details. This is presumably the same shoulder that Lamb hurt back in Week 8. He didn't miss any time then, but we'll see if this latest issue threatens his Week 14 availability. Lamb at least gets 11 days to heal up with the Cowboys hosting on Bengals on Monday Night Football.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb only caught two of his six targets for 39 yards. With the Cowboys emphasizing the rushing game, the targets simply weren’t enough for Lamb to overcome the poor QB play from Cooper Rush.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (back, foot) is not listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. After sitting out on Thursday, he returned to a full practice on Thursday. We’re expecting him to play his usual role on Sunday. It hasn’t necessarily been pretty, but Lamb has totaled 22 targets and 14 catches with QB Cooper Rush over the last two weeks.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (back, foot) did not practice on Thursday. That followed a limited workout on Wednesday. Lamb played through the back issue vs. Houston on Monday night, but the foot is new. We'll look for more info on his status and see how he's listed on Friday's final injury report.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was targeted 12 times against the Texans. He caught eight passes for 93 yards, but couldn’t find the end zone with QB Cooper Rush at the helm.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (back) is active for tonight's game vs. the Texans. He was added to the injury report on Saturday and listed as questionable, but there never seemed to be much concern about his availability for this one. QB play remains a bigger concern than the back for Lamb.
The Cowboys added WR CeeDee Lamb to the injury report Saturday with a back injury that has him questionable for Monday night's game against the Texans. HC Mike McCarthy reportedly indicated it's not a big deal, though.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb tallied just 21 yards on 6 receptions in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, the first game since QB Dak Prescott suffered a hamstring injury. That's not helping any fantasy teams. But Lamb did, at least, maintain strong shares of the receiving work.
There's a "strong possibility" that the Cowboys use QB Trey Lance in certain packages vs. the Eagles today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. QB Cooper Rush will get the start and figures to play the majority of snaps. But we could see Dallas take advantage of Lance's athleticism, particularly in short-yardage and red-zone situations. You should be avoiding Cowboys QBs in Week 10 fantasy lineups. The Lance news isn't great for WR CeeDee Lamb, but he still belongs in most fantasy lineups.
The Cowboys are placing QB Dak Prescott on IR with his hamstring injury, EVP Stephen Jones said Friday. That knocks Prescott out for at least the next four games. But the Fort Worth Star-Telegram hears that "the expected timeline is expected to trend closer to six weeks or more." The earliest Prescott could return is Week 14. A 6-week absence would have him out until Week 16. Dallas' season could be over for all intents and purposes at that point. Prescott is very droppable in 1-QB leagues without an IR spot.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Eagles. The team is still deciding whether Prescott will go on IR, which would cost him at least four games. QB Cooper Rush will make his first start this weekend since 2022. He owns a career 60.0% completion rate and 6.5 yards per attempt. While not the worst backup in the world, Rush is obviously a significant downgrade from Prescott for Dallas’ offense.
