Cooper Rush Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Both ESPN and NFL Network report that Dak Prescott plans to work out before Sunday night's game against the Vikings to determine whether he can play. Adam Schefter adds, though, that "some within the organization believe" Cooper Rush will start the game after taking team reps in practice this week. Barring some further update ahead of the early games, waiting for Prescott will be a risky move for your fantasy football lineups today.

The Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken tweets, "It would surprise many close to situation if Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (calf) starts Sunday vs. Vikings." On top of his calf issue, Prescott left the team on Friday following the death of his grandmother. He's back with the team now and traveled to Minnesota. But Gehlken notes that backup QB Cooper Rush saw the "most meaningful reps" of the practice week. At this point, we're leaning toward Prescott missing Sunday night's game. But we'll see if we get a more concrete update on Sunday morning.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott reportedly said he expected a decision following Saturday's practice on whether he'll start Sunday night against the Vikings. ESPN's Ed Werder, however, says 2 sources have called it a game-time decision. He quoted one as saying, "We are literally going to take it into tomorrow (night)." If it's truly a game-time decision for Sunday night, that would take the call beyond when most other QBs are starting their games. Waiting on Prescott will bring some risk this week.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Vikings. He was limited in practice all week. Prescott felt and looked good in practice by all accounts, but he’s admitted that the team has the final say on whether he plays Sunday night. That decision is expected to be made on Saturday. QB Cooper Rush will make his 1st career start if Prescott is out. Stay tuned.

Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy said QB Dak Prescott (calf) was sore on Friday after ramping up his work in Thursday's practice. McCarthy was non-committal on Prescott's status for Sunday night's game vs. the Vikings. Owner Jerry Jones remains optimistic. "I’d like to think Dak can go and will think that," Jones said. "We’ll see how things work at practice, but I’d say things are looking good right now about Dak.” Prescott seems 50/50 to play at this point. QB Cooper Rush will make his 1st career start on Sunday night if Prescott is out.
